My husband, James, is ALWAYS traveling. At least once a month he's meeting a client across country or adventuring on the other side of the world. I knew this when I married him, so I can't complain too much. It's one of those things I like about him - and yet would be ok if never went sailing, flying, trekking, whatever...again.
One day I asked him to get me a big dog to help me and the kids feel safe when he's away. We are still working on that one.
But in the meantime, I had him get a quote for security screens for the downstairs windows. We called the big player in town for those screens and they quoted us $14K for 14 windows!
Maybe a big dog is not so bad after all??
I looked at my husband. He seemed to be mulling it over.
"I can't believe how expensive that is," he said. "I bet I could build something cheaper than that."
I thought about it, too. James' background is mechanical engineering. Maybe he CAN come up with something.
So he scoured the company and found there are only 3 major manufacturers in the country for security screens. Of the three, he really liked one - called TAPCO - and promptly flew out to meet the patriarch, who founded the company 50+ years ago.
(See? He's gone again!)
And came back a few days later as the newly anointed, exclusive dealer for Las Vegas. This is his company: https://bosssecurityscreens.com/
Tell him I sent you :)
